Complete Bullsh*t!!!

Bullsh*t, damn, sh*t, son-of-a, unfreaking fair!!!

This morning, Catherine was denied a visitors visa to go the the U.S. I am so mad right now I can't think straight. I waited outside in the cold for 3 freaking hours while she waited for her interview...only the interviewee is allowed in the building. Damn them and their stupid regulations! The interview lasted all of 10 minutes and the result was a pathetic refusal form-letter.

I think it's probably a good thing that I wasn't permitted to attend the interview because I am fairly certain that idiot would have had that form-letter for lunch!

They just screwed us out of an important part of our plans/life. This was vitally important to our future together and those a-holes just snatched it away from us...ARG!

This mess cost me about NT$13,000 (US$400). I hope the idiots at the A.I.T. office choke on that money.

Angry? Yes! Sad? Very! I had great plans for the two of us. I so looked forward to introducing Cath to my family, friends and places that I love. It's gonna take a while for me to recover from this tragedy.

maybe someday you can have the distinct pleasure of throwing your US passport back at them (with advice on where to store it). sorry to hear this bad news David.

Awwww David. I'm so so sorry to hear about this. I know how much you were looking forward to this trip. Who was it denied by, the US or Taiwan?

Hey Dave, that stinks. I assume they denied the visa either because of government relations with Burma, or because they thought you two were going there to get married. Can you appeal the process? I'd also call your congressman because sometimes their offices can help with these problems. Good luck

This sucks.

I know you can schedule another interview after few weeks, don't know if it would be too late for your plan. AIT has a tendency to deny visitor visa of young, single women from Asia.

Talk to Catherine about interview detail to find out why her visa was denial. Maybe she didn't provide enough proof that she would come back to Taiwan after the trip or she didn't show she had enough money in bank or a sponser to support this trip that AIT suspected she might work in United States. If you still have time, try to schedule another interview and give AIT proofs that she will definitely come back to Taiwan and won't work or get married in United States.

SUCKS AMERICA INDEED !! Also, I was denied by The US in my homecountry. When I studied in Canada and applied the US visa there and finally got it although I got just 6 months. My sister was denied, too and applied in Canada for 3 times (first, got 1 year without multiple, second, got 1 year with multiple and finally got 5 years). Just be patient. Keep trying!! Your dream will come true later. Trust it!!

Thanks for the support everyone. We are exploring some other options. Looking at other ways to get her to the U.S. It's too late to schedule another appointment because the trip is next month.

She won't be coming with me on this trip, but she will make the trip in the future.

I love her and will do everything in my power to make her happy.

God Bless you both.

Thanks Wendy,
It's an unfortunate situation but we will be ok. I am gonna make this trip solo. Next time, she will be with me.
I do love her so much, it breaks my heart to make this trip without her. We were really excited about it...but, who said life is fair?
Take Care,
-David
